Darren Klenk
Director
Darren brings over thirty years of experience in offering practical accounting and business guidance to family and privately owned businesses, and individuals. He partners with clients from a diverse range of industries, developing strong, productive relationships that transition across generations.
Having long term client relationships has seen Darren advise across the business lifecycle. This extends from business inception, operations, and rapid expansion to divestiture and advice on succession. He particularly enjoys mentoring young entrepreneurs as they establish their own ventures, guiding them through the journey of growth and prosperity.
Darren is also a Self-Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSF) advisor, supporting clients in the establishment and management of their funds. He offers tailored advice to help clients achieve their retirement objectives while adhering to legal and regulatory requirements.
Practicing for over three decades, Darren spent 14 years as a sole practitioner before joining Holman Hodge. He is on management and advisory boards for private and for-purpose entities.
Recent client projects include:
- Succession planning using Self Managed Superannuation Funds for private clients
- Setting policy direction and establishing governance policy on a management board for a privately owned winery
- Supporting a family owned national manufacturer and distributor with the preparation of their business for sale
- Board member and Deputy Chair for an aged care organisation, a provider of services and facilities across residential aged care, retirement villages, affordable housing and home care.
- Providing advice and support to a specialist tradesperson on the establishment and running of a new business
- Assisting in the sale of a large family business.
